Catch a fish…kiss a Fish!
Fishing is one of the best activities for new adventurers. Join us for a chance to catch your first fish, or if you’re an experienced angler, maybe your biggest yet. Whether it’s a bluegill, bass, or catfish, our team is there to help you land one and keep the lines tight. Bonus points if you give your first catch a kiss.
Fishing with Beyond Boundaries!
At Beyond Boundaries, we love giving our participants opportunities to get outside, learn new skills, and enjoy time by the water! Our fishing program is a great lower-impact adventure for groups looking to spend time outdoors at a more relaxed pace while still trying something new and engaging.
Location & Capacity
A Beyond Boundaries fishing program can take place at one of various parks throughout the Central Virginia area, allowing us to select a location that works best for your group based on your group’s location and mobility needs.
Our fishing sessions typically range anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours in length, with each trip being able to accommodate up to 12 anglers at one time.
Experience & Fishing Licenses
With every fishing adventure, Beyond Boundaries staff and volunteers will be onsite throughout each adventure to provide support with baiting hooks, removing fish, and everything in between. Whether someone is fishing for the first time or already knows their way around a rod and reel, our team can provide as much or as little assistance as needed so participants can engage in the experience in a way that works for them.
Fishing license requirements may apply depending on the adventure location and each participant’s circumstances. Beyond Boundaries will share any applicable licensing information before the outing and can help participants understand the next steps. Additional information is available through the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources.
Accessibility
One of the benefits of a Beyond Boundaries fishing program is the flexibility to choose from multiple parks and fishing locations throughout Central Virginia. This allows us to work with your group to identify a location that best accommodates participants’ needs, particularly for individuals who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices.
