Beyond Boundaries Earth Day
Presented by Sims Limited
We’re celebrating Earth Day with a full day of outdoor fun! The day will feature live music, Earth Day speakers, a shad fishing tournament, pontoon tours of the James River, and hands-on activities including kids fishing, biking, hiking, and more.
This event is free and open to everyone, family and pet friendly, and a sober, welcoming space for the whole community. Join us to celebrate Earth Day and inclusive, accessible recreation in Central Virginia!

Earth Day Fishing tournament
The fishing tournament will start before the festival kicks off and wrap up before the day ends so we can announce the winners during the celebration. While it’s part of the overall Earth Day event, the tournament runs as its own competition. Anglers will need to register, bring their own boat and gear, and pay the entry fee.

The RVA RIMBY Festival (Right In My Back Yard) is exactly that, a free outdoor festival highlighting all of the incredible and unique outdoor activities right in the backyard of Richmond.
