R.I.M.B.Y. Recap P/b Village Bank

With a new venue, a new logo from TrailHead Creative, and beautiful weather- this year’s R.I.M.B.Y. fest was one of our most successful to date. We were so excited to host such an amazing group of vendors, connect with our community and spend time with friends. The music from Mackenzie Roark set the perfect atmosphere for our events, and it was great seeing face-painted kiddos bouncing around on the rafts provided by RVA Paddlesports.

Our flagship sponsor for the event was Village Bank and we took some time to connect with Valenda Campbell- VP, Director of Marketing to talk about their involvement with this year’s R.I.M.B.Y. festival.

“We became involved with Beyond Boundaries and Shep because Beyond Boundaries was a customer of Village Bank. We make it a goal to support our customers and people that bank with us. We connected with Shep and realized what a great organization Beyond Boundaries is and how well they fit with our company values. We’re a local bank and put a lot of thought and effort into community engagement. As a local bank, we want to be a vital part of the community and try to work with several non-profit organizations throughout the year,” says Valenda.

The goal of R.I.M.B.Y is to celebrate the amazing adventures right in our backyard. We want to give Richmond an opportunity to connect to the outdoor community and show what Beyond Boundaries is all about.

“R.I.M.B.Y. is great because it’s an awesome gathering of like-minded people and it’s a great example of outdoor activities. I love kayaking and hiking and camping, we live in such a beautiful place it’s hard not to take advantage of all the great outdoor activities we have at hand here,” Valenda states.

Beyond Boundaries is built on community and we love hosting all of the incredible vendors at our R.I.M.B.Y. event. From local non-profit organizations like the Richmond Tool Bank and Boys to Men to creative groups like Chasing Tides Collective, our vendors at R.I.M.B.Y. are always a smorgasbord of interesting organizations making a huge difference in our community.

“Village is focusing our community engagement on education, community improvement, health, and wellness and are focusing a lot on brain injury recovery, accessibility, and mental and  Beyond Boundaries really answers those needs and aligns with our vision,” explains Valenda.

We’re so proud of how incredible this year’s R.I.M.B.Y. event turned out and are already excited about next year’s event. If you missed out, don’t worry, you can check out all of the photos from the event, provided by On Three Photography, right here.
